Shelly Ungemach is a licensed social worker who has been providing opportunities to learn and practice mindfulness meditation in the Palmyra/Annville/Harrisburg area for the past seven years. She has completed the University of California at San Diego’s MBSR teacher training intensive and is an MBSR Teacher in Training at the UCSD Mindfulness-Based Professional Training Institute (www.mbpti.org).
Holly Socolow, MHS, has been offering mindfulness programs in the Lancaster/Hershey/Harrisburg area since 2005. She was the MBSR facilitator for the Women’s Health Research study for overweight women completed at Penn State Hershey Medical Center and published in August 2017. Holly has participated in professional training under the direction of Jon Kabat-Zinn, PhD, founder of the Stress Reduction Clinic at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center, and is a CFM Qualified MBSR Teacher through the Center for Mindfulness, University of Massachusetts. www.umassmed.edu/cfm/training/MBSR-Teacher-Education
Welcome to our newest MBSR teacher, Nancy Behney. Recently retired from being a public library administrator, Nancy brings a long history of mindfulness and meditation to her teaching. Her background in massage therapy practice at Mindful Massage for the Lancaster area complements her teaching. She recently completed her teacher training at Jefferson University Hospital, Myrna Brind Center for Mindfulness.
